Infant Mental Health Awareness Week 7th-12th June 2020

Infant Mental Health Awareness Week (IMHAW) runs every June to highlight issues around our babies mental wellbeing. This year the date for your diary is the 7th-12th June. This annual awareness raising campaign led up by the Parent Infant Foundation provides an opportunity for everyone to help raise awareness of this important part of early childhood development and to share work they are doing.

Working in partnership with ABC PIP (the northern Ireland based partner in The Parent-Infant Foundation) hands on babies was commissioned to deliver baby massage and baby yoga training to 75 staff and support workers of Barnardos Northern Ireland. This fantastic programme has now been running for a year and the initial results are very encouraging.

As part of IMHAW Some of the results of this incredible baby massage partnership programme will be shared and showcased during the week demonstrating how the wonderful skill of baby massage and baby yoga is being used to promote positive bonding and attachment and support our babies mental wellbeing.
