Baby Yoga is a gentle, development-focused activity programme designed to support babies’ physical, emotional and neurological development through movement, interaction and play. Using a series of carefully adapted stretches, postures, movements, songs and relaxation techniques, parents are guided through activities that help support their baby’s growing body and developing brain in a safe, nurturing and enjoyable way.
Unlike adult yoga, Baby Yoga is not about babies “doing yoga.” Instead, it is about helping mums, dads and carers use gentle movement and interaction to encourage development, build confidence and strengthen connection.

Many of our yoga-inspired movements are specifically designed to support babies as they work towards key developmental milestones including:
Our classes help babies develop; Core Strength, Upper Body Strength, Head Control, Balance & Co-ordination and Body Awareness and Movement Confidence. Many of the movements gently mimic or encourage the physical actions needed to achieve these milestones, helping babies practise movement patterns in a fun, engaging and supportive way.

Our classes also include movements that encourage babies to move opposite arms and legs together — known as diagonal co-ordination.
This is an important developmental foundation for crawling, walking and overall co-ordination and can be especially helpful in building movement confidence.

Baby Yoga also focuses heavily on responsive interaction, relaxation and emotional connection. Through movement, rhythm, songs and gentle interaction, classes help support:

Perhaps most importantly, Baby Yoga provides dedicated time for parents and babies to connect, play, move and learn together in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The result is a class experience that supports development while also creating enjoyable, meaningful interactions between babies and their grown-ups.
